I'm SO thankful for the rain today. It was enough to make a lot of people cancel from the event. Enough people that I don't have to go back to work this afternoon which meant I could pick Nick up from school and he didn't have to have a 10 hour day. It's not fair to him to leave him at kindy that long, even though he probably would be fine.

I looked at the roster for next week and I have 44 hours over 6 days. Not what I had in mind when I went back to work on a casual basis. I really only want about 28 hours over 4 days. While I try to figure out how to make that happen I'll try to suck it up and be grateful for the paycheck that will go in my bank in 2 weeks.
